Upgrade your makeup brand to luxury.
Luxury makeup photography for the independent line building toward beauty-counter standard. Shade-true swatches, on-face campaign looks, palette architecture, texture smears in editorial light, all anchored to your actual product.
Makeup photography is a colour claim.
A serious makeup shot answers the question every buyer asks at checkout: is that the shade that will actually arrive? A nude that photographs half a tone pink becomes a return. A phone on a windowsill shifts hue with every passing cloud, a compact mirror throws the room into the frame, and shimmer collapses into noise. The beauty-counter brands built their trust on colour discipline, and buyers now read every swatch against that standard.
Generic AI tools fail the category at the swatch. They drift shades between frames, invent glitter that was never in the formula, and melt the embossed pan and the doe-foot wand into approximations. The result reads as a marketplace listing, not as a shade range a buyer would order unseen.
Your actual product, colour-true in every frame.
Upload 4 to 8 reference photos covering the packaging from a few angles, the label straight-on at scale, one honest swatch in neutral light (arm swipe, smear card, pressed pan), and any finish details (embossed pan, magnetic clasp, bullet tip). The model preserves packaging geometry, shade relationships, texture behaviour, and component finish.
Brief the rest: the surface (white marble, brushed metal, glass vanity), the context (open palette, campaign face, gradient line-up), the light (soft beauty light, warm evening lamp, clean daylight), the styling. A full shade range's imagery in an afternoon, from one reference set per product.
Brief, generate, refine.
1. Reference the product
4 to 8 photos: packaging at a few angles, label straight-on, one honest swatch in neutral light, component details. The model needs to see geometry, typography, shade, and finish.
2. Brief the frame
"Bullet extended on white marble, smear beside it, soft daylight from the left." Or apply a saved Aesthetic, or pick a starting point from the prompts library.
3. Generate & refine
Up to 4K. Iterate until shade, packaging, and light all read correctly. Save the winner. The next drop in the range reuses the same Aesthetic.
Every frame the range needs.
The shots a shade range is judged on, in one consistent house aesthetic.
Shade swatches
Arm rows, smear cards, gradient dot line-ups across the range. The frame that answers the colour question before it becomes a return.
On-face campaign
The lip worn, the lid in light, the cheek in profile. Campaign-grade looks composed in the brief, no casting or booking required.
Texture smears
The buttery bullet pull, the pressed-powder edge, the liquid ribbon, the cream blur. Cream, powder and liquid each behaving like themselves.
Packaging & tool stills
Compact architecture open and closed, pan arrangements, brushes at rest. The object register for PDPs, email, and wholesale decks.
Indie budgets, beauty-counter output.
For a typical range (5 to 8 SKUs, swatches, packshots, texture and on-face):
| Approach | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign shoot with photographer, makeup artist, model | 3–6 weeks | $2,500–$12,000 |
| DIY arm swatches plus phone | A weekend, plus colour correction | Your time, plus shade casts that come back as returns |
| recreateme.ai (Core) | An afternoon | $30 / month, full range |
The point is not cheaper photos. It is that the beauty-counter visual standard is no longer gated by a casting budget per campaign.
Full commercial rights, your imagery, your campaign.
Every frame you generate is yours, for owned channels: site, product pages, paid campaigns, wholesale decks, print, social, launch emails. No per-image licence, no usage caps, no surprises in the small print.
Nothing of yours is on file unless you choose to share to the public Discover gallery. Posts can be made private or deleted at any time.

From founders building makeup brands.
Will my shade swatches stay colour-accurate?
Colour is the purchase argument in makeup, and the category's hardest trust issue: a shade that arrives darker than its listing becomes a return. Include one honest swatch reference per shade in neutral light (an arm swipe, a smear card, the pressed pan). The model anchors hue, depth, and undertone to that reference and holds the relationship across packshots, smears, and campaign frames.
Will my packaging and palette detail stay accurate?
Yes, and makeup packaging is engineered detail: the embossed pan, the magnetic clasp, the mirror inside the compact, the doe-foot wand, the bullet's sculpted tip. Include one straight-on reference of the label at scale and one of each signature component. Typography, component geometry, and lacquer or soft-touch finish persist across every generated frame.
Can I get on-face looks without booking a model?
Yes. On-face is the conversion frame for makeup: the lip colour worn, the lid catching light, the cheek in profile. Brief the look, the intensity of application, and the light. The product and its shade stay anchored to your references while the face context is composed in the brief, from clean beauty-counter to evening editorial.
How does it handle texture: cream, powder, liquid?
Each format has its own physics and the frame has to honour it. A cream blush blurs at the edge; a pressed powder breaks into a clean-walled swatch; a liquid lip pulls a glossy ribbon; a shimmer holds discrete flecks rather than noise. One honest texture reference per format keeps the smear reading true to the formula in every composed frame.
Can I build campaign and vanity scenes?
Vanity and campaign scenes are the aspiration register of the category: the palette open on white marble, the bullet extended beside a morning coffee, the evening line-up under warm lamp light, the tools laid in order. Brief the surfaces, the arrangement, the ambient. The product stays anchored to your reference; the scene is composed around it with editorial restraint.
Can I shoot a full shade range in one consistent look?
A shade range is bought as a system, and the gradient line-up is its money shot. Save a reusable Aesthetic (palette, surface vocabulary, light grammar) and apply it across every shade's reference. The range photographs as one campaign, and each new shade inherits the house look on launch day.
Can I photograph palettes and tools as stills?
Yes. The object register matters in makeup: the palette shot open and closed, the pan arrangement from above, brushes fanned beside the compact, the sharpener and liner as a pair. Reference each object once and brief the arrangement. Component geometry and finish hold while the still is composed to the same restraint as the rest of the range.
Can I use the imagery commercially?
Yes. You own every image you generate, with full commercial rights for owned channels: site, product pages, paid campaigns, wholesale decks, print, social, launch emails. No per-image licence, no usage caps. Full terms in our Terms of Service.
